I cast out a demon

in the name of Jesus Christ

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

A year ago I was in Las Vegas working for a friend. It was the beginning of the 11th month and I had arranged late checkout at the hotel where I was staying. I brought my things to the lobby and was thinking about where I was going to stay that evening.

There were some people to email about work projects so I got out my laptop case. In the lobby was a very large room with a long table with many outlets for electronics and many other tables for breakfast activities. I was facing the front desk. To the left ahead of me was the entrance from the street. Past the front desk to the right was a small store for food items and sundries, then a hall to the elevator.

The table where I set my briefcase was about thirty feet from the front desk counter. To my right was a small lounge area with couches, a coffee table, and a wall mounted large screen television. There was also a fake fireplace on that side. To my left was more open space for the breakfast area with tables and chairs. There was about thirty feet to the wall with the television (which was on but muted) and about the same distance to the wall on the opposite side where the breakfast counter was.

It was early afternoon. My rewards membership gives me late checkout and this hotel let me check out at 1 pm. It was about a quarter past or 13:15 as they say in France, when a strange thing walked in. It was shaped like a man but it didn't look right.

It came through the front door and walked over towards my luggage next to the couches by the television. A bit over six feet tall, it was wearing a beige leisure suit and an orange dress shirt. No necktie. Sandy blond hair, clean shaven. Because it was going towards my luggage I looked up from where I was plugging in my surge protector and getting my laptop and keyboard set up.

As soon as I looked at it, it stopped. Its mouth was moving like it wanted to speak but it couldn't. (I hadn't given it leave to speak.) It looked at me and then bent at the waist. It had to bow in my presence but I didn't know that at the time. It untied one of the ankle high beige shoe-boots it was wearing and began tying its shoe, which seemed odd to me at the time.

At that moment I was inspired to say, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command all demons to go from this place forever.” And it was gone.

I looked around. There was no place for a person that big to hide. No one could have run to any of the exits from the room in the split second after I spoke. I looked at the exits anyway. (Never enter a room without knowing where the exits are.)

It's important to mention that I felt the inclination to say the words and checked with the Holy Spirit and got a very strong affirmation that I should say them. It's a little like my guardian angel lets me know I am on the right path.

It is exactly as it is written in Isaiah 30:21 “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” For me, this prophecy is fulfilled. And for you if ye be baptised in water and in the Holy Spirit and ask for this blessing.

This morning I was in conversation with a very good friend. He mentioned that I should write out what happened in a post. So I asked of the Holy Spirit and was told yes, to post here about it. So I have done it.

God loves you and wants you to be happy. God loves free will, He made so much of it. You should choose to obey God. For one thing, God makes really great plans. And God’s plan is for you to be happy. God provides. Praise God. God's will be done. Amen.
